Stacy’s passion for solo travel and storytelling shines through as she hopes to encourage other women to take the leap into their own adventures. With travel in her blood, thanks to her mother's career in the airline industry, Stacy grew up exploring the world. Now, as an adult, she’s on a mission to revisit the cities she once knew as a child, adding new chapters to her story.
Currently studying Korean and Spanish, Stacy is always looking for her next adventure.
After a spring break trip to Korea with her daughter, Stacy knew that moving abroad was in her future. Together, they braved the uncertainties of a global pandemic to start a new life in South Korea, where Stacy’s love for martial arts, yoga, K-dramas, K-pop, and kimchi only grew stronger.
Dedicated to women who aspire to solo travel and those who support them, Second Act Expat is more than just a podcast; it’s a call to action. Stacy tells it like it is, with a touch of comedy and a lot of heart, inspiring others to make bold moves and embrace the journey, wherever it may lead. Second Act
(a definition)
/ˈsɛk(ə)nd akt/: a pursuit, pivot or life-shift usually after an extended period of routine and/or misery (i.e. "the first act"), stemming from an epiphany, self-reflection or a strong desire to improve one's circumstances or realize one's dreams.
After many years of working a thankless desk job in a stuffy corporate atmosphere she decided that her second act would be to quit her job and pursue her dream of becoming a chef.
